A Hubbard man has been fined and placed on probation after Police say he led officers on a chase that began in Austintown and ended with a crash that damaged several vehicles at an auto dealership in Niles.

Police say 38-year-old Corey Heinselman was the man who sped away after officers tried to pull him over for recklessly driving a Porsche along Route 46 on March 27.

The pursuit led police to South Main Street in Niles, where the Porsche crashed into eight cars at Elite Coleman Auto Sales before running into a signpost in front of Circle K.

According to police, Heinselman tried to run away but stumbled and fell to the ground where police were able to arrest him.

Appearing in Mahoning County Court on Monday, Heinselman was found guilty of failure to comply with police, OVI, and hit-skip.

In addition to being fined $900 and placed on probation for a year, Heinselman’s driver’s license was suspended for a year.
