UK dealers have stopped orders for the small performance SUV after a full order bank, but it appears to remain available to order in Australia – though stock levels are limited.

The high-performance version of Audi’s best-selling model in Australia has been removed from UK showrooms as it snaps up right-hand-drive production.

Order books for the Audi RS Q3 small performance luxury SUV – and the RS Q3 Sportback – have been closed in the UK after the German car maker sold its entire 2024 stock allocation.

A new Audi Q3 is due to be unveiled in 2025, making the existing order bank the last of the current RS Q3.

Audi Australia has made no statement on the supply of RS Q3s for Australia, which has its own right-hand drive allocation for local consumption.

However Australian new-car buyers looking to get their hands on the performance model – without a wait time – do not have it easy regardless.

Using Audi Australia’s online stock finder, Drive found only one new RS Q3 in Australia – located in Brisbane – with zero in Sydney or Melbourne. A search of capital cities sees no other RS Q3s in dealers, according to the stock locator.

The current RS Q3 may be the last of its kind with petrol power as Audi’s high-performance RS range transitions to electric vehicles only by 2030.

It remains to be seen if the next-generation Q3 spawns an RS version, given it would have a short life cycle.

Across its entire range – including standard and performance models – the German car maker is reorganising its naming approach as it adds electric cars to its line-up.

This will see even numbers applied to electric-powered Audis, with odd naming denoting petrol and diesel power.

The Q4 E-Tron due next year – which is between a Q3 and Q5 in size – will be the third electric vehicle offered by Audi Australia alongside the Q8 E-Tron and E-Tron GT.
