AMHERST, N.Y. — Two people are facing charges in connection to tires and wheels that were stolen from an Amherst car dealership back in February.

A search warrant was executed by Town of Amherst Police on Tuesday at a residence on East and West Road in West Seneca. That’s where police said they recovered items reported as stolen on Feb. 18 from a Sheridan Drive car dealership located in Amherst.

Two people were arrested Tuesday: 19-year-old Matthew A. Vanyo of West Seneca, and a 17-year-old from Amherst. Both are charged with grand larceny and auto stripping in the third degree.

The investigation is ongoing, police said Wednesday night.
